Yale University Lecture: Individuals of Connecticut's Colored Regiments

This is an in-person lecture by John Mills that occurred on May 29th, 2024 at Sterling Memorial Library Lecture Hall located on the campus of Yale University. The event was sponsored by the Working Women’s Network, Yale African American Affinity Group, and Yale Veterans Network.

The lecture focuses on the Colored troops of Connecticut during the Civil War. John digs into how they were formed, who the men were, what their experiences were, and how we honor them today. Other works discussed are the life and times of Thaddeus & Mary Newton, as well as well as the writings of Isaac J. Hill.
