CT Colored Regiment Photo Cataloging Project
The Alex Breanne Corporation is working to catalog all available photos of Black soldiers who enlisted with one of Connecticut’s Colored Regiments during the Civil War… members of either the 29th Connecticut Colored Regiment or 31st USCT (formerly the 30th Connecticut Colored Regiment). This catalog will ultimately be published for public access in support of research into the men of these regiments.
Images are not required to be of the soldier in uniform. Any pre or post war image of the soldier is incredibly valuable to telling the story of these brave men. If you have an image of one of these men within your collection, please consider adding the location of the image to our catalog (and/or sharing the image) by completing the below form.
