John Mills will be giving a talk at the Henry James Memorial School in Simsbury, CT on February 20th, 2024 from 7 - 8pm ET.

The talk will focus on the family of Peter & Esther Jackson. Peter is said to have been enslaved in Bermuda, traded for a Native American enslaved man and brought to Simsbury. 7 of his grandson’s would later serve in the Civil War, 6 of them dying and never making it back to Connecticut.

The event is open to the public so please attend if you can! We will provide more information as we get closer to the date.
