Virtual Lecture for Florence Griswold Museum

John Mills - Independent Scholar

John Mills is doing an on-line lecture for Florence Griswold Museum on April 10th, 2025 at 2pm EDT.

During this presentation, Mills will discuss how his own family history of enslavement impacted him and spurred him to pursue research into other historically enslaved individuals in Connecticut. Mills will reflect on how narratives of the enslaved are presented today, as well as his involvement in recent community projects to acknowledge past injustices and honor the contributions of the enslaved.

We will share the Zoom link once we have it.
