Alex Breanne Corporation founder and president John Mills will join Chris Fortier on Live from Waterbury to discuss his award-winning documentary, Reverence: Reclaiming the Forgotten, and its upcoming screening at the Mystic Film Festival on Friday, September 25 at 2:00 p.m.

The conversation also marks a return to a familiar Waterbury program. In 2024, Chris welcomed John to the show to discuss Alex Breanne Corporation's effort to create a mural honoring Fortune, an enslaved man whose story has become an important part of Waterbury's history. Chris helped bring attention to the project as the organization worked to raise the $32,000 needed to make the mural a reality. The 80-foot mural was dedicated in Waterbury on November 2, 2024.

Fortune's story is among those featured in Reverence, which explores the work of recovering overlooked African American histories, reconnecting descendants with their ancestral stories, and restoring those histories to public memory.
