Lecture: Stories of Connecticut’s Black Patriots

On January 28, 2026 at 1pm, John Mills will be giving a lecture at the Connecticut State Library in Hartford, CT.

During this presentation, Mills will dive into the iconic Lathrop enslaved family of Norwich, Connecticut. Mills will present his research into the family origins and their contributions to the country’s fight for independence and African American fight for freedom.
