On Sunday, June 15th, 2025 at 2pm, John Mills will be speaking at a Justice Southbury rally. The event occurs at the corner of Main Street North and Main Street South in Southbury, CT.
For 250 straight Sunday afternoons, starting just after George Floyd was murdered, Justice Southbury has held peaceful, positive, uplifting rallies for social justice and racial equity in rain, snow, heat and cold. Their mission is to cultivate an inclusive community where all are treated fairly and welcomed as equals. Their vision is “a more fair and kind community for all.”
John will talk about his own family history of enslavement, how it impacted him, and his work towards solving current-day impacts of chattel slavery.
